What

The Step Forward to Cure TSC Tampa Florida walk brings together individuals and families impacted by a rare genetic disorder called tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) with supporters committed to making a difference. TSC causes tumors to form in vital organs and is also the leading genetic cause of both epilepsy and autism and current estimates place tuberous sclerosis complex affected births at one in 6,000. Nearly 1 million people worldwide are estimated to have TSC, with approximately 50,000 in the United States.

Step Forward to Cure TSC is presented by the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, the leading organization dedicated to finding a cure for TSC, while improving the lives of those affected through: 1) the stimulation and sponsorship of research; 2) the development of programs, support services, and resource information; and 3) the development and implementation of public and professional educational programs designed to heighten awareness of TSC.
