Welcome to My Personal Page
My son Jackson is the ultimate superhero. He’s a strong, silly 10-year-old who can DJ multiple iPads like no other, who has a natural knack for hearing musical keys, and who’s battled tuberous sclerosis complex his entire life.
Like the other 1 in 6,000 people born with TSC every day, 50,000 in the U.S., over 1 million worldwide, Jackson has tumors that cause issues like seizures, developmental delay, and autism.
TSC is a genetic disorder, meaning you have it from birth, and there’s just no cure for it yet. BUT, we’re making HUGE strides in finding one. Here’s what we know now we didn’t know a few years ago: TSC is what’s called a “linchpin” disease. The genetic pathway involved in TSC is the same pathway affecting several other diseases.
So, by helping find a cure for TSC, you’re essentially taking a step toward curing more than a dozen major diseases and disorders like autism, epilepsy, cancer, and obesity.
